English Level Test Privacy Notice

MindSet English uses the information you provide to generate, save, and email your indicative English level result and to help the MindSet English team understand your learning needs.

Information collected

The test may collect your name, email address, optional phone number, learning goal, answers, score, writing sample, optional speaking recording, speaking transcript and feedback, consent, result, and submission date and time. A one-way connection hash may be used temporarily for security and abuse prevention; the raw address is not stored with your result.

AI writing analysis

If the website administrator enables AI writing analysis, your writing prompt and writing sample may be sent securely to the configured AI service for evaluation. Your name, email address, phone number, IP address, and multiple-choice answer history are not included in that AI request.

AI-generated question variations

If the website administrator enables question variation, an AI service may create a private set of grammar, vocabulary, and reading questions for the test session. Only a CEFR and skill blueprint is sent for generation. Your name, email address, phone number, IP address, goal, answers, and writing are not sent with that request. The answer key remains on the server, and the original MindSet English question bank is used automatically if generation is unavailable or fails validation.

AI-generated prompt voice

If the natural Kanka voice is enabled, the speaking question text may be sent securely to Gemini text-to-speech so it can be read in a more natural voice. No learner identity, contact details, answers, goal, writing, or recording is included. The generated prompt audio is returned to the browser for playback and is not stored with the result. If text-to-speech is unavailable, the browser’s built-in voice may be used instead.

AI speaking analysis

If the speaking stage is enabled and you choose to record an answer, the speaking prompt, approximate multiple-choice estimate, recording duration, and short audio sample are sent securely to Gemini for transcription and indicative evaluation. Your name, email address, phone number, IP address, goal, answer history, and writing are not included in that request. The raw audio is discarded immediately after evaluation and is not saved in WordPress; the prompt, transcript, scores, and feedback are saved with your protected result. You may continue without speaking.

Google’s handling of submitted content depends on the Gemini service tier and account terms selected by MindSet English. Google states that free-tier content may be used to improve its products. Review the current Gemini API pricing and data-use information before choosing whether to record.

Emails and access

Your result is emailed to you and to the official MindSet English inbox. The protected result is available only to authorized WordPress administrators and may be exported as an Excel-compatible CSV file.

Important limitation

The result is an indicative CEFR placement estimate and is not an official language certificate. AI-assisted speaking and writing feedback can be reviewed by a teacher and may not identify every error.
